Vision & Values

Our values are at the core of everything we do. We aim to provide our children with all they need to navigate the world they live in, as happy and successful children, young people and eventually adults.  Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens. Although rooted in Christian teaching, the values are also important to other faiths and cultures within our school community including those with no faith.

At St Augustine's School we have ten school Values. Each month, we focus on one Value. Classes hold an assembly at the start of each month to re-introduce the Value. This Value then becomes the main focus for the month and the children are constantly reminded how they can show these in their everyday lives. At the end of each week children are chosen from each class that have shown the best example of this Value.  We also ensure that children get at a thorough understanding of what each value really means through our PSHE and RE curriculum.

Curriculum Enrichment

At our school, we believe every child deserves a curriculum that not only teaches knowledge and skills but inspires curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning. We are committed to providing rich and varied experiences that extend beyond the classroom, ensuring all pupils have access to meaningful and memorable opportunities.

Our curriculum is enriched through educational visits, themed days, outdoor learning, and partnerships with local organisations aiming to bring learning to life for our children. We celebrate diversity through events such as Diwali, Chinese New Year, Black History Month, and World Book Day, and promote global awareness through language days, international food tasting, and projects exploring world cultures.
